HRR in Siam Cup action in Guernsey

With referees having already visited the island in April for the Junior Siam Cup fixtures between Guernsey and Jersey, a highly experienced team of Hampshire Rugby officials will make the trip over to Footes Lane in Guernsey on Saturday 4th May for the historic Siam Cup, in the latest battle between the two Channel Island neighbours. Travelling from Hampshire are Drew Meakin, Mark Scoular, Jeff Highcock and Rob Melhuish. Joining them will be Adam Wookey from the National League Match Officials Team, who will take charge of the Siam Cup (Men) fixture.

The day will begin with the Nash Cup, played between the two clubs’ Veterans XVs at 10.15am, followed by the Fallaize Cup, played between the two 2nd XVs at 11.45am. The action will continue with the Siam Cup (Women) kicking off at 1.45pm, culminating in the Siam Cup (Men) at 4.15pm. Hampshire referees will be in action throughout the day.

BBC Jersey will be live-streaming the event, which promises to be a brilliant day of rugby between the two historic clubs.
