Covid-19 – Statement from Hampshire Rugby Referees

Everyone involved in Hampshire Rugby Referees hopes that all of the rugby community and family stay safe and well during this unprecedented period of uncertainty and concern.

With the RFU today deciding to cancel all Club, Schools and Colleges rugby in the community game, it is clear that our clubs and communities will be facing additional challenges and hardship.

As a result the HRR Executive has decided that member clubs of HRFU to whom we appoint match officials will not be invoiced or charged for any match officials provided for the period 1/1/20 to 16/3/20.

Our calculations show that this will be a contribution of £10500 to our  Clubs which will be met from the HRR reserves.  We hope that this gesture will be met by similar support from many agencies and organisations as we all try to support the sustainability of our clubs and sport.

Please keep yourselves and your family safe and well and we look forward to a new season as soon as this is possible.
