Refereeing community rugby union games can be an incredibly rewarding pastime, with the possibility of leading to a career for those who want to go all the way. It is an opportunity to be involved in the game you love, whether you’re hanging up your playing boots or just want to see the game from the best ‘seat’ in the house.
Whilst it is not a mandatory requirement for refereeing with Hampshire Rugby Referee society, it is recommended that those who wish to referee attend the England Rugby ‘Ready 2 Ref’ course. Details of which can be found on the RFU website.
